# AdPlaybook > A Mac desktop app that turns a product page into a complete, buildable ad > campaign — strategy, audiences, exclusions, copy, test matrix and measurement > plan — then traces every factual claim to a verbatim quote on the user's own > site and checks the campaign against each platform's published limits before > anything is spent. Runs locally; no account, no server. ## What makes the ad-spec pages citable Every character limit, aspect ratio and hard floor on this site is quoted from the platform's own documentation and carries the URL it came from and the date it was read. Anything that could not be verified is listed as unverified rather than omitted. The pages are generated from the same data files the application reads, so they cannot drift from the product. Two corrections to figures widely published elsewhere, both checked against the platforms' own help centres on 2026-08-10: - LinkedIn introductory text: the maximum is 3,000 characters (150 to avoid truncation), not the 600 commonly stated. - TikTok ad captions: TikTok's own in-feed specification page states no character count. The commonly cited 100-character figure appears nowhere in their documentation. ## Key documents - [Homepage](https://adplaybook.app/) - [Ad specs hub — 8 platforms, sourced and dated](https://adplaybook.app/specs/) - [Learn — why campaigns fail without an error](https://adplaybook.app/learn/) - [How AdPlaybook compares to creative generators](https://adplaybook.app/vs/) ## Platform specs - [Meta](https://adplaybook.app/specs/meta/) - [Google Ads](https://adplaybook.app/specs/google/) - [LinkedIn](https://adplaybook.app/specs/linkedin/) - [TikTok](https://adplaybook.app/specs/tiktok/) - [X](https://adplaybook.app/specs/x/) - [Pinterest](https://adplaybook.app/specs/pinterest/) - [Reddit](https://adplaybook.app/specs/reddit/) - [YouTube](https://adplaybook.app/specs/youtube/) ## What it deliberately does not do - It does not generate images or video. It produces a creative brief. - It does not predict performance or attach a score to an unrun ad.
